We only fostered him for s short time but fell in love with him so I can only imagine how you feel without him.

I'll never forget the day I picked him up. He looked so sad and forlorn. The day you came to visit, I knew he had found the perfect home! We always said he went from rags to riches when you adopted him.

I know in time you will be able to think about him with a great big smile.

I cried all the way through your wonderful tribute to him. Thank YOU for giving him such a great life.

Tom and Linda Loftin
The so lucky to have fostered Boom peopleLinda Loftinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15106010361841016889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8138306233062188312.post-4802739400893893922011-10-22T21:12:23.622-07:002011-10-22T21:12:23.622-07:00Ok I tried to get this on the ADDiva facebook page...Ok I tried to get this on the ADDiva facebook page but I'll try one more time here... This poem has comforted me when I lost my Buster and Socrates.

I explained to St. Peter I'd rather wait here,
Just outside the Pearly Gate.
I won't be a nuisance, I won't even bark.
I'll be very patient and wait.
I'll be right here chewing a celestial bone,
No matter how long you may be.
Cause I'd miss you so much,
If I went in alone,
It wouldn't be Heaven for me.

It still brings tears to my eyes, but also the hope of my fur babies greeting me when I get to the "Gate."Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07104676597365500899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8138306233062188312.post-8068380444314535062011-10-19T10:39:51.565-07:002011-10-19T10:39:51.565-07:00In continuation of my comment, this was a source o...In continuation of my comment, this was a source of comfort for me. I posted about losing my Jessy in May of this year. It was agonizing, heart wrenching and painful. Like your Boomer, she was all "mine". She was my "Jessy Girl" with a remarkable personality. I still cannot see pictures without the tears flowing, but I know the day will come when I can remember her with smiles instead of tears, with happy memories rather than heartache. Until then, we travel through this journey called grief and try to take to heart these words: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened". One day our hearts will smile again.Janiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03097227787921983597noreply@blogger.com
